Location: Utica Square Studio Job Description: Private Trainer Send Resume To: uticastudio@exerboticsfitness.com POSITION SUMMARY: The Exerbotics Private Trainer is part of the new generation of fitness professionals who provide private and customized extraordinary training experiences for every client. The trainer is responsible for being courteous, friendly, and professional at all times (i.e. customer-service driven.) The trainer establishes rapport with clients, designs and implements individualized training programs for each client, and routinely e-mails and phones clients to encourage client motivation and adherence. The position also entails attending team meetings and continuing education events as required by the Exerbotics management team. Private trainers report to the Private Training Manager and/or the Studio Manager. The position is paid hourly, not to exceed 35 hours of training. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serve as a customer relationship management specialist and support Exerbotics’ extraordinary customer service program. 2. Administer and evaluate client health history and lifestyle questionnaires to create appropriate and effective individualized training programs. 3. Ensure every training session is safe, appropriate, fun, and effective for each private training client. 4. Assist with cleaning equipment and organizing the facility as necessary. 5. Contact doctors, physical therapists, and other medical professionals as needed for additional information regarding individual client programming; maintain contact as needed through phone calls, e-mails, and other written correspondence. 6. Track client progress and maintain current and private client files on every client including, but not limited to the following: medical release, health and lifestyle questionnaire, medical correspondence, training session tracking, and any other information pertinent to the client. 7. Ensure client safety and injury prevention through proper use of Exerbotics and all other equipment. 8. Understand the Exerbotics team philosophy and provide professional guidance, mentorship, and/or leadership as needed to private training team. 9. Perform one community service act per month in the form of: submitting articles for the Exerbotics newsletter, leading a club such as running, walking or cycling, or offering to lecture at a client’s workplace. 10. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as requested. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 1. Reveal a working knowledge base of personal training principles, methods, and techniques within exercise science. 2. Exhibit a working knowledge of post-rehabilitation and medical exercise, The Egoscue Method, and Titleist Performance Institute. 3. Show a strong desire to help people and be customer-service driven. 4. Demonstrate the ability to lead a group of clients and manage their programs to help them reach their objectives and goals. 5. Display organizational skills for client file maintenance. 6. Express the ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner. 7. Demonstrate ability to administer client health history and lifestyle questionnaires and interpret the information to create appropriate and effective individualized training programs. 8. Follow and enforce safety procedures. 9. Understand and follow Exerbotics trainer manual guidelines on private training and commit to excellence through continuous education. |
